Just to give you an idea what is new in Froyo:<br \/><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"border-collapse: separate; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>720p video recording<\/li>\n<li><strong>iTunes syncing<\/strong>&nbsp;via HTC&#8217;s Sync software &#8212; this is for all you Windows guys\/gals out there<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;AppShare&#8221; widget that came on the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.androidcentral.com\/tags\/wildfire\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color: rgb(34, 68, 187);\">Wildfire<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Smart CallerID<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/span><\/span>In South Africa HTC devices are distributed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leaf.co.za\/\">Leaf<\/a> so the question arises, when will us HTC Desire owners see the rollout of Froyo here in South Africa. I just had a look at the Leaf website and to be honest, what a waste of time.&nbsp; Over the past week I tried to get some answers out of Leaf and that was even a bigger waste of time.<\/p>\n<p>If one looks at the upgrade for HTC Hero (from Android 1.6 to Android 2.1) by Leaf then I am not very hopeful that we will see anything soon.<\/p>\n<p>I know that HTC sometime make the update pack available on their site for manual download and upgrade. <a href=\"http:\/\/androidandme.com\/2010\/07\/news\/how-to-manually-install-android-2-2-on-the-htc-evo-4g\/\">Here is a way<\/a> to manually upgrade as soon as that pack becomes available.
