HTC Desire – ordered
I have always been a Nokia man, but have decided to broaden my horizons and go for an Andriod phone. Yesterday I popped into my local MTN shop and placed my order for the HTC Desire.
On Twitter, MTNSouthAfrica last week said and I quote
The HTC Desire should be in stores next week – global flight crisis and limited availability from HTC have been a problem!
Hope I do not regret it like when I used a Samsung phone for a short while. Cannot even remember what Samsung it was, but it was horrible and I moved back to my trusted Nokia.

I don’t think you’ll regret it! I got my wife the htc Tattoo which has a tiny screen compared to the Desire and it is superb! The Sense UI is excellent and Android rocks! Google and other integration is flawless and the build quality is outstanding. Running Android 2.0 on the Snapdragon processor should make it lightning fast.
Give it a while as you get used to the UI & keyboard and then let us know how it goes!

Hope you enjoy it – and that you’ll post back what you think. I’ve got an iPhone at the moment but desperately want to switch to an Android based phone and I’m thinking the Desire is the way to do.
